Hailing from the very southern tip of New Zealand’s South Island, Grant was brought up with a family of vegetable and fruit growers, cattle and sheep farmers. At a early age, Grant decided he would be a chef.
Grant made his name in Sydney after becoming Head Chef at the 2-hatted Pier restaurant – and leading the restaurant to 3 hats during his tenure. In 2011 opened Gastro Park, gaining 2 chefs hats from the SMH as well as 2 stars from the Gourmet Traveler. Grant is currently the proprietor and executive chef at Smile Catering, serving exquisite food for special events and occasions all across Sydney.
